Eagles "Hotel California"

 

캘리포니아 호텔은 아니고 양양 쏠비치 (캐논 400D)

 

실제로 호텔 캘리포니아가 존재하는지 모르지만, 노래는 참 좋아한다. 국민학교 시절부터 밤바다 올드팝을 듣고 살았기에, 팝음악은 좀 많이 안다. 그러나 단점은 노래만 알 뿐, 노래 제목과 가수 이름은 스스로 찾아서 듣기 전까지는 몰랐다. 그러나 이글스의 호텔 캘리포니아를 굳이 찾아 듣지 않아도, 이종환의 밤의 디스크쇼와 2시의 데이트 김기덕입니다 그리고 배철수의 음악캠프를 통해 알게 되었다.

 

Eagles의 Hotel California는 김건모의 잘못된 만남처럼 전주가 긴 곡이다. 그러나 앞부분이 길다고 전혀 지루하지 않다. "On a dark desert highway..." 이 부분이 나오길 기다리면서 내가 캘리포니아 호텔에 있는거 같은 환상 속에 빠지기 때문이다. 우리 집이지만 오늘만큼은 호텔 캘리포니아에 왔다고 생각하기로 하면서, 이글스와 함께 주말을 보내야겠다.
